Accessibility statement for belfordmedicalpractice.nhs.uk

This accessibility statement applies to www.belfordmedicalpractice.nhs.uk, the website of Belford Medical Practice.

This website is run on behalf of Belford Medical Practice by NoticeBoardTV Ltd (SurgerySites). We want as many people as possible to be able to use this website. For example, that means you should be able to:

  • zoom in up to 300% without the text spilling off the screen
  • navigate the website using just a keyboard
  • listen to most of the website using a screen reader
  • use the website on a phone or tablet

AbilityNet has advice on making your device easier to use if you have a disability.

How accessible this website is

We know some parts of this website are not fully accessible:

  • some images do not yet have text alternatives for screen reader users
  • some documents are provided as PDF files, which are not always accessible to screen readers

We are working through these issues and this statement will be updated as they are fixed.

Feedback and contact information

If you need information from this website in a different format, or you find a problem not listed on this page, please contact the practice:

We will consider your request and respond within 10 working days.

Enforcement procedure

The Equality and Human Rights Commission (EHRC) is responsible for enforcing the Public Sector Bodies (Websites and Mobile Applications) (No. 2) Accessibility Regulations 2018 (the ‘accessibility regulations’). If you are not happy with how we respond to your complaint, contact the Equality Advisory and Support Service (EASS).

Compliance status

This website is partially compliant with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines version 2.2 AA standard, due to the non-compliances listed above under ‘How accessible this website is’.

What we are doing to improve accessibility

We review the website against the accessibility guidelines on an ongoing basis. The moving home page banner has already been replaced with static content (August 2026), and we are currently adding text alternatives to images and converting key PDF documents into ordinary web pages.

Preparation of this accessibility statement

This statement was prepared on 17 August 2026 and last updated on 21 August 2026, following a review of the website against the current NHS and WCAG 2.2 guidance. It replaces the previous statement dated September 2020.
